What a cluster ring is

A cluster ring groups several stones close together so the top of the ring looks larger and fuller than a single stone would. In this collection the peridot sits at the center with lab-grown diamond accents around or beside it, in floral, star or graduated arrangements. Some designs place small clusters on the shoulders instead of around the center.

About peridot

Peridot is the August birthstone, known for its fresh yellowish to olive green color. It is about 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, softer than sapphire or diamond, so a cluster or halo of accents around it adds some protection. Remove the ring for heavy work and clean it with warm soapy water.

Carat weight, metal and price

Every design offers 1 to 9 carats total weight. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K; yellow gold warms the green of peridot, while white gold and platinum make it look crisper. Prices include the peridot and start around $400 at the smallest size; most rings are between about $975 and $1,000.
