Buying guide
An infinity ring shapes the band so two strands cross over each other, often forming a figure-eight loop on each side of the center. Most of these settings twist the strands as they cross, and most set small lab-grown diamonds along at least one of them. The flowing lines lead the eye up to the pear center and echo its curved shape.
Some designs keep the pear on its own as a solitaire, so the infinity band is the main detail. Others add a halo around the center for more sparkle from above, and one uses a split shank that opens near the top. Pave ribbons and interwoven twists give each design its own pattern.
Gold settings come in 10K, 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold. Crossing strands show up clearly in yellow and rose gold; white gold and platinum keep the look bright and cool. Platinum is the most hard-wearing choice for thin, crossing strands. Because infinity bands curve, try a wedding band beside the setting to check the fit.
Settings start under $400, and most are between about $1,159 and $1,509. That is the setting only; the pear center is chosen and priced in the next step, in a colorless stone or a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green.
