A twisted solitaire keeps the focus on the pear and the movement of the band. Halo designs add a frame of lab-grown diamond accents, which makes the center look larger and pairs well with a pave twist. Floral and leaf designs, some with marquise accents, give a vintage, garden look. A few graduated designs grow the accents toward the center.
A pear is round at one end and pointed at the other, and it lengthens the finger. Most people wear the point toward the fingertip. You choose the center in the next step, including fancy colors such as blue, pink, green and yellow, and black on some designs. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K. Prices are for the setting only, and the center is priced when you choose it. Settings start under $200, and most are between about $800 and $1,200.
