Buying guide
A cluster ring sets several stones close together so they read as one larger shape. Here the tanzanite is the center and lab-grown diamond accents gather around it. Styles include a floral double halo, a star-shaped floral halo, a graduated cluster with an open basket, and a vintage milgrain frame with small clusters on each shoulder.
Tanzanite shows blue and violet, and the tone shifts a little as the stone turns in the light. It is softer than sapphire, about 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale, so a cluster or halo of accents around it helps protect its edges. Take the ring off for heavy work, keep it away from sudden temperature changes, and clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush rather than an ultrasonic cleaner.
Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K, in white, yellow or rose. Platinum is the most durable choice, and most designs also come in Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver. You pick a total weight from 1 to 9 carats on the product page. Prices start at about $400, and most cost about $950 to $1,000.
Each ring is made for you in 10–15 days. Shipping is free on orders over $500, returns are accepted within 30 days, and one resize is free within 60 days of delivery.
