A three stone ring, also called a trilogy ring, places one larger center between two smaller side stones. Here the center is tanzanite, a violet-blue gem, and the sides are lab-grown diamonds, so the white sparkle frames the color. Some designs add pave shoulders, a split shank, a braided band or a halo around the center. Round side stones give a classic look; pear or trillion sides point toward the center and make the ring look wider on the finger.
Every design lets you choose the total weight of the stones on the product page, from 1 to 9 carats total weight. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K, and every design is also offered in platinum and silver. White gold and platinum keep the tanzanite looking cool and blue, while yellow and rose gold warm it toward violet. Band widths are about 1.8 to 2.5 mm, depending on the design.
Tanzanite is about 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs scale, softer than diamond, sapphire or ruby. It wears well in a ring that is taken off for heavy work, sports and cleaning. Clean it with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, and avoid ultrasonic cleaners and sudden temperature changes. Raised side stones help shield the center from knocks.
Each ring is made for you in 10–15 days. Shipping is free on orders over $500, returns are accepted within 30 days, and one resize is free within 60 days of delivery.
Prices start under $300, and most of these tanzanite three stone rings cost about $800 to $1,280 at their smallest option. The price covers the finished ring with its tanzanite center and lab-grown diamond side stones. It rises with a larger total weight, a higher gold karat or platinum, and extra details such as pave shoulders or a halo.
