Most designs are twisted solitaires, which keep the round center as the single focus and let the band carry the detail. Some add a halo of lab-grown diamond accents around the center for more sparkle, and a few use three stone, floral vine or marquise accent styles. A twisted band also pairs well with a matching twisted wedding band.
Every design takes a round center, and nearly every design can be made for a fancy-color center in blue, green, pink or yellow, with some offering black. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K. Some designs list band widths of about 1.8 to 2.5 mm. Prices are for the setting only, from under $200, with most between about $800 and $1,200; the center is priced when you choose it in the next step.
