A platinum chevron ring has a band that dips into a V just below the center stone, so the setting frames the stone and leaves room for a wedding band to nest. These engagement ring settings come in platinum with pave on the band, and some add engraving and milgrain detail. Oval is offered on every design, with round, princess, emerald, pear and other shapes on some.

The chevron is the point where the band rises or dips into a V shape beside the center. It draws the eye to the stone and makes a slender finger look longer. Because of that V, a matching curved or chevron wedding band can sit flush against the engagement ring instead of leaving a gap. If you plan to wear a straight band beside it, expect a small space where the V sits.
Every ring here is a solitaire setting with lab-grown diamond accents set in pave along the chevron. Some designs add an engraved chevron band and milgrain edges, beaded borders that give the ring a vintage look. Pave catches light across the band, while engraving adds texture that reads well up close. Both work with any center shape you choose.
Platinum is a dense, naturally white metal. It doesn't need rhodium plating to stay white, and when it scuffs the metal moves rather than wearing away, which suits the fine points of a chevron. Settings start from about $2,000, and most are about $2,200. That price is for the setting; the center is chosen and priced in the next step. Some designs also take a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green center.
