A hidden halo is a row of small diamonds set around the base of the center stone, below the girdle, instead of around its face. From above, the ring looks like a clean solitaire. From the side, the halo adds a line of sparkle and catches extra light. On an oval, it follows the stone's long outline, which suits the shape's elongated look.
Some designs list band widths from 1.8 to 2.5 mm, so you can pick a slimmer or sturdier look.
Every gold oval hidden halo engagement ring here comes in yellow, white and rose gold, in 10K, 14K or 18K. Higher karats have more gold and a warmer color; 10K is the hardest.
