Channel setting holds the baguettes between two metal walls, which keeps the band smooth to the touch.
Lab-grown sapphire and ruby are 9 on the Mohs scale and the toughest choices for daily wear. Lab-grown emerald and natural aquamarine and topaz are around 7.5 to 8, while tanzanite, peridot, amethyst, citrine and garnet are a little softer and wear best with some care.
