Buying guide
Milgrain is a border of tiny metal beads pressed along the edge of a band or around a setting. It softens the outline of the ring and frames each lab-grown diamond, which gives the band a hand-finished, antique feel. Every design in this collection has a vintage look, and many pair milgrain with engraving, filigree or leaf and scroll details on the sides.
Milgrain beads are small, so they soften with years of wear. A jeweler can refresh them when the band is polished.
Carat weight is the total weight of all the lab-grown diamonds in the band. Most designs offer about 0.25 to 0.5 carat total weight, and some go to 0.75 carat or more. Most designs come in 10K, 14K or 18K white gold, including the 14k white gold milgrain wedding band. Prices start at under $600, and most bands are between about $825 and $975 at their smallest option.
