A chevron, or V-shaped wedding band, dips to a point at the center. Worn with an engagement ring, the V frames the center stone and lets the two rings sit flush, which a straight band can't do with many raised settings. Match the depth of the V to the shape of your engagement ring's center for the closest fit. Worn alone, it reads as a modern stacking band.
Carat options are the total weight of all the lab-grown diamonds in the band. Most designs offer about 0.25 to 0.5 carat total weight, and a few go up to 1 carat. Most designs come in 10K, 14K or 18K rose gold. Prices start at about $450, and most bands are between about $800 and $950 at their smallest option.
