Victorian and Art Deco jewelry used milgrain, the fine beaded edge seen on most of these pendants, along with filigree and floral motifs. Bezel rims, which wrap metal around a stone, also date back a long way and protect the edge of the lab-grown diamond.
Most designs offer from 0.5 or 1 carat up to 2 carats total weight in lab-grown diamonds, and some go up to 5 or 6 carats. Gold comes in 10K or 14K. Yellow and rose gold suit the antique look, while white gold and silver make the stones read cooler. Prices start under $300, and most pendants begin around $750 to $875.
