Two Hearts, One Promise

Lab-Grown Diamond Vintage Eternity Bands

These antique eternity bands set lab-grown diamonds across the top of the band in a half eternity layout, framed with the details of older jewelry: milgrain edges, scrollwork, engraved wheat patterns and marquise or square frames. Each vintage eternity ring comes in white, yellow or rose gold, platinum, or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver.

Buying guide

What gives an eternity band a vintage look

A vintage eternity ring borrows its finish from Victorian and Art Deco pieces. Milgrain, the fine beaded line along the edge, appears on nearly every band here. Some add pavé rows, scalloped edges or a curved shape that sits close to an engagement ring. Others use engraved patterns, filigree openwork, or small marquise, pear and square frames around the lab-grown diamonds.

Why half eternity

Every band in this collection is a half eternity band: the lab-grown diamonds run across the top, and the lower half is plain metal. That leaves room to resize the band later and keeps the underside smooth against the neighboring fingers. It also costs less than setting stones all the way around.

Carat weight, metal and price

  • Most bands offer 0.25 to 0.5 carats total weight in lab-grown diamonds; some go down to 0.15 carats or up to 0.75 carats.
  • Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K on nearly every design. 14K is a good everyday balance of color and hardness, and 18K has a richer color.
  • Platinum is dense and naturally white, and silver keeps the cost down.
  • Prices start under $250, and most bands are between about $650 and $850.
