Buying guide
Pave means the band is set with rows of small stones held by tiny beads or prongs, so it looks paved in sparkle. A pave solitaire keeps a single center stone with no halo or large side stones; the lab-grown diamond accents stay in the band. The result is brighter than a plain solitaire band but still simple. A few designs add a hidden halo under the center, which adds sparkle from the side without changing the solitaire look from above.
Band widths mostly run about 1.8 to 2.5 mm, and a thinner pave band makes the center look larger. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K. Platinum holds small pave beads well over time, and silver keeps the cost lowest. Most settings can also be ordered for a fancy blue, green, yellow or pink center. Settings start under $200, and most are between about $650 and $1,100. That price is for the setting; the center is priced when you choose it.
