Pave means paved: small round lab-grown diamonds sit close together, held by tiny shared prongs or beads, so the top of the band looks covered in sparkle. A round lab-grown diamond pave band pairs easily with almost any engagement ring, and it is a natural match for a round engagement ring with a pave band. Because these are half eternity bands, the stones run across the top only and the underside stays plain metal, which is easier to resize and more comfortable between the fingers.
Carat weight is the total weight of all the lab-grown diamonds in the band; the designs offer about 0.2 to 0.5 carats total weight. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K on most designs. Rose and yellow gold give warmth, while white gold and platinum make the stones look brighter white. Bands start under $350, and most are between about $700 and $850 at their smallest option.
