A halo is a ring of small accents set around the center stone. Around an oval, it follows the long curve and makes the center look larger and longer on the finger. It also adds sparkle around the edge and some protection for the stone's outline. A double halo adds a second row for a bolder frame.
Rose gold warms the white sparkle of the halo and suits fancy pink or yellow centers well. Most designs also take fancy blue and green centers, and some take a black center. In 10K or 14K, rose gold is a little harder wearing; 18K has a richer tone. Settings start from about $600, and most sit between about $850 and $1,100.
