Pave sets small stones close together, held by tiny beads or prongs of metal, so the surface looks paved with sparkle. Micro pave uses even smaller lab-grown diamonds and finer prongs for an almost continuous line of light. In rose gold, the thin metal between the stones adds a warm tint that makes the band look soft rather than icy.
Every band here is half eternity: the stones run across the top of the band, which keeps the underside smooth and lets the band be resized.
Most designs offer 0.25 to 0.5 carat total weight, and some go to 0.75 or 1 carat. Most come in 10K, 14K or 18K rose gold. Bands start at about $525, and most are between about $700 and $775.
