Pave sets many small lab-grown diamonds side by side, each held by tiny beads or prongs of metal, so the surface looks paved with stones. Micro prong pave shows the most stone and the least metal. Double row and multi-row designs widen the band of sparkle, and a knife edge design brings the top to a fine ridge.
A half eternity keeps the lower part of the band plain metal, which makes it easier to resize and more comfortable on the palm side.
Platinum holds small pave prongs well and stays white without plating, which suits a band worn every day. Carat weight is the total of all the lab-grown diamonds: most designs offer 0.25 to 0.5 carats total weight, many add 0.75 carat, and a few go up to 1 carat. Prices start under $950, and most bands are between about $1,250 and $1,400 at the smallest option.
