Buying guide
An infinity band crosses over itself, so the metal forms loops that echo the infinity symbol. In these settings one or both strands carry pavé, small lab-grown diamond accents set close together, so the twist catches light along its length. Most designs use a twisted or crossover band, and some weave the strands into a ribbon shape near the center.
Some infinity pavé rings keep a solitaire head so the twist and the center are the focus. Others add a halo of accents around the center for a larger look, and a few split the shank where it meets the head. Every setting also offers fancy blue, pink, yellow or green centers.
Twisted bands have more edges than a plain band, so pair them with a wedding band shaped or contoured to sit flush. Pavé is best cleaned with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Settings start under $400, and most cost between about $1,150 and $1,500; the price is for the setting, and the center is priced when you choose it.
