Buying guide
A twist gives a pendant movement even when it hangs still. Spiral and vertical twists line the lab-grown diamonds up along the curve, sometimes graduated from small to larger. Intertwined and woven shapes wrap two strands of gold around each other, and pave versions cover the strands with small lab-grown diamonds for more sparkle. Cross pendants add the twist to a classic shape.
Most designs offer about 0.35 to 2 carats total weight, the combined weight of all the lab-grown diamonds in the pendant, and a few reach 3 carats. A lighter total weight keeps the pendant small and easy to layer. A higher weight makes the twist larger and brighter, which suits wearing it alone. Spiral and graduated pendants look longer and slimmer, while circles and teardrops look rounder on the chest.
Every design comes in 10K or 14K gold, in white, yellow or rose. 14K has more gold and a deeper color; 10K is slightly harder. Prices start from about $600, and most designs are between about $700 and $800 at their smallest option.
