An oval stretches along the finger and makes the hand look slimmer. Its soft curve sits well inside a rounded halo or a beaded milgrain frame, and it echoes the shapes common in older rings. Ovals also spread their face wide for their weight, so the center can look larger than a round of the same carat.
Some designs add three stone, cathedral, split shank or bypass details. Most designs can also hold a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green center, and some a black center, chosen in the next step.
Every setting comes in 10K, 14K or 18K yellow gold. 10K is the hardest and lightest in color, 18K is the richest yellow and a bit softer, and 14K balances the two. Prices cover the setting only and start at about $500, with most between about $900 and $1,200. The oval center is priced when you choose it.
Each ring is made for you in 10–15 days. Shipping is free on orders over $500, returns are accepted within 30 days, and one resize is free within 60 days of delivery.
