Buying guide
A tension-style ring opens the band at the top and sets the center between its two ends, so light reaches the stone from the sides and the ring has a clean, modern profile. Some designs add a solitaire head or a bezel to hold the center, which keeps the open look while gripping the stone more fully. A men's design with a fluted band is also in this range.
Each setting is built for the center shape you choose. Emerald cuts are offered on every design here, and most designs also take round, oval, pear and the other shapes. Most designs can be made for a fancy-color center in pink, yellow, blue or green, and some for a black center. You choose and price the center in the next step.
Every design comes in 10K, 14K or 18K rose gold. 10K and 14K are harder and hold their shape well in an open band, while 18K has the richest rose color. Prices are for the setting only, from about $700, with most between about $1,300 and $1,500; the center is priced when you choose it.
Each ring is made for you in 10–15 days. Shipping is free on orders over $500, returns are accepted within 30 days, and one resize is free within 60 days of delivery.
