Each design can be made with a blue, pink or yellow lab-grown sapphire. Blue gives the classic contrast against rose gold. Pink blends with the warm metal for a soft, tonal look, and yellow reads bright and sunny. A lab-grown sapphire has the same makeup as a natural sapphire and a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond, so it suits daily wear.
Milgrain beading outlines the halo or band on many rings. Halo designs circle the lab-grown sapphire with small lab-grown diamonds, and the hidden halo tucks them under the center. Filigree galleries and engraved leaf or swirl sides add old-style texture. Solitaire and split shank styles keep the band cleaner, and the three-stone design flanks the center with side stones.
Every design offers round, oval, cushion, princess, emerald cut, pear, marquise and heart centers, and 1 to 9 carats total weight. Band widths run from about 1.8 to 2.5 mm. All designs come in 10K, 14K or 18K rose gold. Prices start at about $740, and most rings fall between about $900 and $1,090.
