Buying guide
The twist can be subtle or bold. Some bands use a polished rope twist with no stones, so the metal itself gives the texture. Others wrap a row of pave around a plain strand, so lab-grown diamond accents spiral toward the center. A few designs split the shank into two twisting strands, and others cross the band over itself or weave it into an interwoven pattern. Most settings in this collection carry pave somewhere on the band.
A halo surrounds the center with a frame of small accents. It adds sparkle and makes the center look larger, which balances the movement of a twisted band. Some designs add floral or leaf details to the halo for a softer, vintage look. Rose gold's warm color shows off the lines of a twist well, since the light catches each turn of the metal.
Every design in this collection is offered in ten center shapes, so you can pick the twist you like first and the shape second. Each setting can also be made for a fancy blue, yellow, pink or green center. Prices start from about $600 for the setting, and most are between about $1,150 and $1,350. That covers the setting only; the center is priced when you choose it.
