A standard halo is an even ring of small stones around the center. A floral halo shapes that frame into petals, scallops or leaves, so the outline looks like a flower from above. The center still looks larger than it would on its own, and the petal shape adds softness that suits the pink tone of rose gold.
Some designs pair the halo with a vintage milgrain edge or filigree gallery, and a double halo is also offered.
Settings start from under $700, and most are between about $750 and $1,000. That is for the setting only; the center is priced when you choose it. Most designs can hold a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green center, and a few take black, which looks striking inside a light floral frame.
