Buying guide
Pave means many small stones set close together, held by tiny beads of metal so little metal shows. A micro pave halo oval engagement ring uses the smallest of these stones, so the frame around the center reads as a continuous line of light. With pave on the band too, the sparkle runs from the halo down the shoulders, and the center looks larger because the halo extends its outline.
Every design pairs a halo with pave lab-grown diamond accents. Some take a vintage direction, with milgrain edges, filigree or engraving. Others split the band into two pave strands near the center, add a second halo row, or use floral, twisted or bezel details. A few add three stone or graduated side accents for a wider look across the finger.
Gold designs come in 10K, 14K or 18K. White gold and platinum keep the pave bright and white, while yellow and rose gold warm up the frame. Nearly every design also comes for a fancy pink, yellow, green or blue center, and some for black. Settings start under $250, and most are between about $800 and $1,100 for the setting alone; the center is priced when you choose it in the next step.
