The marquise shape already looks like a leaf or a petal, which is why it suits a nature inspired marquise engagement ring. Some designs set small marquise lab-grown diamond accents as petals on the shoulders, some build a flower-shaped cluster or halo around the center, and others run leaf or vine scrolls along the band. Several designs use a bypass or twisted band that wraps like a stem.
Most settings can be ordered for a colorless center or a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green center, and some for black. A green center with yellow or rose gold leans into the garden look. Settings start under $200, and most are between about $700 and $1,100. That price is for the setting only; the center is priced when you choose it.
