A marquise filigree ring pairs the long, pointed center with delicate openwork scrolls in the metal. These filigree marquise engagement rings range from solitaires to halos, floral and three stone designs, in white, yellow or rose gold (10K, 14K or 18K), platinum, or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver. You choose the center stone in the next step.

Filigree is lacy openwork: curls, scrolls and leaves pierced through the gallery or shoulders so light passes through the ring. It was a signature of early twentieth-century rings, and every design here has that vintage look. Many add milgrain, a fine beaded edge, and some add engraving or floral petals.
A halo is the most common choice here: a ring of lab-grown diamond accents around the marquise that adds sparkle and makes the center look larger. Solitaire filigree designs keep the center on its own, with the openwork as the detail. Others carry pavé bands, side stones, three stone layouts, channel-set accents or a split shank. A few use a bypass, twisted or graduated band.
Open scrollwork can collect lotion and soap. A soft brush with warm water and mild soap keeps it bright. Platinum and gold hold fine detail well; silver is the lower-cost option and wears faster.
Most settings can be ordered for a colorless center or a fancy blue, pink, yellow or green center, and some for black. Settings start from about $200, and most are between about $800 and $1,150. That price is for the setting; the center is priced when you choose it.
