A channel set lab-grown sapphire ring pairs a lab-grown sapphire center with lab-grown diamonds held in a groove along the band. Choose a blue, pink or yellow lab-grown sapphire, then a channel set solitaire, a tapered baguette band, a pave and baguette band or a bypass split shank. Every design comes in gold, platinum or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver.

In a channel setting, the accent stones sit side by side between two walls of metal, with no prongs on top. Their edges are covered, so they are less likely to snag or chip, and the band has a smooth, even surface. That makes a channel set lab-grown sapphire and lab-grown diamond ring a practical choice for daily wear. Some designs use tapered baguettes that narrow toward the back of the band.
A lab-grown sapphire is corundum, the same mineral as a natural sapphire, with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. Blue is the classic choice and looks crisp in white gold or platinum. Pink reads soft and pairs well with rose gold. Yellow is bright and warm, and looks richest in yellow gold. The white lab-grown diamonds in the channel frame each color the same way.
Choose a round, oval, cushion, emerald, princess, pear, marquise or heart center. Every design offers 1 to 9 carats total weight. Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K. Prices start under $500, and most rings are about $1,300.
