A cluster places small lab-grown diamonds close together in prongs so they look like one larger stone. On a flower pendant, the stones form petals around a center that is often prong-set slightly higher. Because the light spreads across many facets, a cluster pendant looks larger than a solitaire of the same total weight and costs less than one big stone. The center often sits a little higher than the petals, which gives the flower depth when you look at it from the side.
Weights are total weight of all the stones. Most pendants offer 1 to 5 carats total weight, and several start at 0.35 carats. Gold comes in 10K or 14K. Prices start under $300, and most are between about $750 and $800 at the smallest weight.
