Emerald Cut Peridot Rings

A peridot emerald-cut ring shows the stone's bright green in long, even step facets. Every ring here sets an emerald cut peridot as the center, in solitaire, pave, halo, three stone, split shank and vintage styles. Each design is made in white, yellow or rose gold in 10K, 14K or 18K, platinum, or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver, with lab-grown diamond accents where the style calls for them.

Buying guide

About the stone

Each center is natural, treated peridot. Peridot is about 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, softer than many gems, so take it off for heavy work and consider a halo or bezel design if you plan to wear it every day. The emerald cut's long step facets and open table show the stone's color evenly across its face, which is why it suits colored gemstones so well.

Choosing a style

  • Solitaire: the center alone on a plain or slim band, the cleanest way to show the rectangle.
  • Pave and side stone: lab-grown diamond accents along the band; pave is the most common choice in this collection.
  • Halo and double halo: a frame of lab-grown diamond accents that makes the center look larger and adds white sparkle next to the color.
  • Split shank, three stone and vintage: a divided band, stones beside the center, or milgrain and floral details.

Carat weight, metal and price

Every design offers 1 to 9 carats total weight. All six metals are available on every design: white gold and platinum keep the color cool and bright, while yellow and rose gold warm it. Many bands are about 1.8 to 2.2 mm wide. Prices start under $300, and most rings are between about $750 and $1,050 at their smallest option. Every design is also sold as an emerald cut peridot engagement ring.
