These black diamond bypass rings are engagement ring settings made for a black center you choose in the next step. In a bypass ring, the two ends of the band sweep past each other around the center instead of meeting below it. Designs include swirl pave bands, leaf and vine motifs, split shanks and three stone looks, in white, yellow or rose gold, platinum, or Silvadium, a tarnish-resistant sterling silver.

A bypass band wraps around the center in a soft S-curve, with each side of the band passing the stone at a different height. The result looks in motion on the finger. Some designs add lab-grown diamond pave along the curve, while others leave a smooth metal sweep. Floral designs turn the ends into leaves or a vine, and a split shank style divides the band before it reaches the stone.
A black center gives strong contrast against metal and against bright pave accents. White gold, platinum and silver make the black look crisp and graphic. Yellow and rose gold give a warmer, softer contrast. A bezel style wraps the center in a thin rim of metal for added protection, and a graduated pave design steps the accents down in size along the band. Every design comes in ten center shapes, from round and oval to heart and Asscher.
Gold comes in 10K, 14K or 18K, and every design is also made in platinum and silver. Listed band widths run from about 1.8 to 2.5 mm, with a wide band style at 4 mm. Prices are for the setting only, from under $300, and most settings fall between about $850 and $1,150. The center is priced when you choose it.
