Buying guide
Pave means small lab-grown diamonds set close together along the band, held by tiny beads of metal so the surface looks paved with sparkle. On a 5 carat pave lab-grown diamond ring, the band adds brightness from every angle without competing with the center. The small accent stones come in addition to the 5 carat center. Pave bands need a little care: a yearly check of the small stones is a good habit.
Some rings are classic solitaires with a single row of pave on the band. The hidden halo adds a row of small stones under the center, seen from the side. The cathedral lifts the center on arches over a graduated pave band, with stones that change size along the shank. A halo design surrounds the center and sets three rows of pave on the band, with vintage filigree details, and a side accent design adds pear and round stones next to the center.
Every design comes in platinum and in 10K, 14K or 18K white, yellow or rose gold. White metals make the pave look like one bright line, and yellow or rose gold gives a warmer contrast around each small stone. Platinum costs more than gold.

Our 5 carat pave rings start from about $3,350, and most are between about $3,500 and $3,950 in the lowest-priced metal. That price includes the 5 carat lab-grown diamond center as well as the pave accents. Platinum and higher karat gold cost more, and the halo and side accent styles sit toward the upper end of the range.
