Buying guide

What a hidden halo is

A hidden halo is a row of small stones set around the base of the center, below the girdle. From above, the ring looks like a clean solitaire. From the side, the halo shows as a band of sparkle under the center. It suits anyone who likes a simple top view with a detail that shows up in profile. The 2 carat figure is the center alone; the halo and pavé add to the total.

Shapes and band

The center comes in round, oval, cushion, princess, emerald, asscher, radiant, pear, marquise and heart. Long shapes such as oval, pear and marquise look larger for their weight. The pavé band is offered in about 2 to 2.5 mm widths; a slimmer band makes the center look larger, a wider one feels sturdier.

Metal and price

Platinum and white gold keep the look bright; yellow and rose gold warm it. The ring starts from about $1,350, center included, in the lowest-priced metal option.

Made to order

Each ring is made for you in 10–15 days. Shipping is free on orders over $500, returns are accepted within 30 days, and one resize is free within 60 days of delivery.
