An oval is a stretched round with brilliant facets, so it sparkles much like a round stone. Its length covers more of the finger, which makes a 1 carat oval lab-grown diamond look bigger from above than a round of the same weight. Set lengthwise, it also makes the finger look slimmer. Ovals can show a darker bow-tie shape across the middle in some lights; this is normal for the cut.
Rose gold is gold mixed with copper. 10K rose gold has the deepest pink and is the hardest of the three. 18K has more gold and a softer peach tone. 14K is in between. The warm band makes the oval center look whiter by contrast.
The 1 carat figure is the center alone; accents are extra, on top of the center's weight. Prices start from about $900 for the finished ring, and many are around $1,000 to $1,100.
